Justin Edinburgh has added a Welsh International striker to his squad ahead of this weekend's Sky Bet League One clash with Barnsley

Gillingham FC have bolstered their attacking options ahead of Saturday's game against Barnsley with the loan signing of forward George Williams.

The 20-year-old has agreed a deal until the end of the season from Fulham with the option of being available for the play-offs.

Williams is a Welsh international having represented his country on six occasions, having also featured for the U21 squad.

George began his career with MK Dons prior to joining Fulham in 2012 where he has made 17 appearances in all competitions.

He rejoined MK Dons in February 2015 on loan but his deal was cut short due to an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

George is available for tomorrow's game against Barnsley and will wear the number nine shirt.

Manager Justin Edinburgh said: "We are delighted to have George on board, we have been looking to add to our attacking options for a while and he fits the bill perfectly.

"He has experience of league and international Football and I have no doubt he will offer our forward line something different between now and the end of the season."
