Winners to be announced on Friday, September 9
Gills manager Justin Edinburgh has been nominated for the Sky Bet League One Manager of the Month for August after his side’s strong start to the season.
Edinburgh’s team picked up an impressive 10 points from their opening five games, including two away wins, and scored nine goals in the process.
The Gills have also began a memorable EFL Cup run, beating Southend United for the second time in four days at the start of the month, before knocking out Watford at Vicarage Road.
Edinburgh is up against Bradford manager Stuart McCall, Scunthorpe’s Graham Alexander and Phil Parkinson, whose Bolton side top the Sky Bet League One table on 14 points after six games.
The winners of the EFL Manager of the Month awards will be announced on Friday, September 9. The judging panel comprises former Ipswich Town manager George Burley, Sky Sports’ EFL League expert Don Goodman, EFL Marketing Director Drew Barrand, League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet Football Trading Manager Paul Lowery
