Sheffield Wednesday youngster joins Gills on loan until January.
Gillingham have clinched the signing of Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Sean Clare on loan until January 3, 2018.
The 20-year-old agreed terms on transfer deadline day and could be in line to make his debut against Shrewsbury Town at the weekend.
Clare has previously had loan spells at Bury and Accrington Stanley having come through the Nike Academy setup. During his time away from Hillsborough he has, in total, made 13 appearances and scored one goal.
On capturing his man Head Coach Ady Pennock said: “I’m really pleased to have got Sean on board, he is a midfielder who isn’t shy of taking people on and is different to the other players we have in the building.
“Myself and the staff are looking forward to working with him.”
