Striker moves on.
Conor Wilkinson has signed for Dagenham & Redbridge on an 18-month permanent deal after mutually agreeing to terminate his contract at Priestfield.
The 23-year-old striker recently scored six goals in 10 appearances during a loan spell with the Daggers, and boss Peter Taylor has moved quickly to acquire his signature on a longer term basis.
Wilkinson signed for the Gills in the summer of 2017 on a two-year contract and went on to score four goals in 50 appearances, the most memorable coming at Fratton Park in March of last year when, using just three touches, he scored a tremendous equaliser with the Gills going on to win 3-1 against Portsmouth.
The former Bolton Wanderers front man has signed in time to play for Dagenham against Maidstone United at the Gallagher Stadium on Saturday.
Gillingham FC would like to thank Conor for his efforts while at the club and we wish him well for the future.
