National League opposition await Gills in late July.
Another friendly has been added to the Gills pre-season schedule ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.
Neil Harris has arranged for the first-team to visit Roots Hall to take on Southend United on Saturday July 23, with kick-off set for 3pm.
The National League side, managed by former Gills midfielder, Kevin Maher, is the club's fourth confirmed friendly ahead of the new season with Neil Harris having also confirmed that he intends to have six fixtures in total before the Sky Bet League 2 campaign gets underway on Saturday July 30.
