The club is delighted to announce that the Foundation Community Cup will return in 2026.
The event earlier this year at MEMS Priestfield Stadium was a complete success with 32 teams competing across four different age groups (u8's-u11's) with medals presented to all competing players, and trophies presented to winning teams, and runners-up, along our VIP executive box corridor.
The tournament will take place on Saturday 16th May & Sunday 17th May 2026 with new age groups added, along with a Girls age group and a grassroots Academy section. The tournament will be for teams within the following age groups (based on the 2025/26 season):

The playing format of the tournament will guarantee teams 75 minutes of playing time with 5 x 15-minute matches, with teams progressing to the Cup or Plate semi-finals / finals. The format ensures all teams get the same playing experience inside the stadium.
A running order (subject to change) is above with families and spectators able to purchase tickets to come and watch the competition on both days. These will go on sale nearer the time.
We are delighted to be hosting the event, with Community Manager Toby Waters saying: “It's great to be back for a second year and a huge thanks to Gillingham FC for gifting the stadium for a second day.
"Last year was a great success and we’re delighted to be adding additional age groups as well as a Girls section. The event is all about creating a memorable experience for the players and their families and all funds raised will support the Foundation’s work in Medway and the wider Kent region.”
Coaches can enter their teams for a fee of £350. A five-month payment plan is available, however one to four month plans are also available if teams are entered later in 2025, or early 2026.
