Nick Freeman is hoping that Gillingham can secure their first win of the season in front of the supporters at the MEMS Priestfield Stadium on Saturday.
Northampton Town are the visitors to ME7, and Freeman knows how difficult a test they will pose, having come down from League One.
Injury wise, it has been a frustrating start to the campaign for the Gills, with Liam Gordon and Kadeem Harris suffering problems that will keep them out for an extended period of time. Freeman discussed the importance of the rest of the squad rallying around the pair to ensure they are supported throughout their recovery.
The 30-year-old also touched upon his versatility, having started the season in a wing-back position and discussed how he has settled in at the Football Club.
Looking to Northampton this Saturday...
They are obviously going to be a good outfit. They have just come down from League One and have some good players that I know there, so it's going to be a good test. We are back at home in front of the fans, and hopefully, we can put it right from the first game, following the good result last Saturday. I am confident that if we can do what we have put together against them, then we can do well.
[On trying to secure a first win of the campaign] - It would be lovely to do it at home against a good side as well as in front of our own fans. We have got a game plan, and we know what Northampton will be like. They will be a really tough side to play against.
It will be fantastic if we can get a win this weekend.
Handling the injuries of Kadeem Harris and Liam Gordon, and how the squad are rallying around them...
It is tough because they are two key players, on and off the pitch. We have got to manage and deal with it as it comes. Be there for them, especially Kadeem, with it being such a long-term injury.
It's about trusting what you have got in the squad as well. Coming in and being able to take their chance when it's presented to them, which everyone in the building is more than capable of doing.
[On using his previous experience] - I think that I have got to put that on myself now to be there for him [Kadeem Harris] because he has not had an injury like that before, and just being there for him if he ever wants to talk. It's a tough injury and a tough rehab, and just giving my advice and guidance to him throughout.

I do really enjoy getting out wide and being involved that way as well.
I have settled in really well. I get on well with the lads, who have made me feel welcome from day one. I feel really respected by everyone as well, so I have enjoyed my time here so far.
