Gills will welcome Reading to MEMS Priestfield Stadium on Saturday for the club's second pre-season fixture ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
Reading are the first of two League 1 clubs to travel to Kent in the space of a week with Luton making the journey to ME7 on July 19. Gills got their pre-season campaign off to a solid start by beating Dover at Crabble 1-0 on Tuesday.
Manager Gareth Ainsworth revealed after the game that there are a few players that the coaching staff are assessing, and precautions are being taken on a few. Euan Williams and Sam Vokes are unlikely to feature against The Royals. The game may come too soon for Andy Smith.
