Gillingham v Cheltenham Town
Sky Bet League Two
MEMS Priestfield Stadium
Saturday October 11, 2025
Kick-Off, 3pm
Team News:
Josh Andrews will miss the fixture due to suspension, having accumulated five yellow cards this season. Conor Masterson remains out with a calf injury, while Saturday could come too soon for Euan Williams.
Seb Palmer-Houlden is a doubt after missing the Colchester United midweek fixture in the Vertu Trophy with a knee issue. Bradley Dack, Jonny Smith and Armani Little are all pushing to be involved.

George Miller will miss the game for Cheltenham as he begins his recovery from hamstring surgery. Jonathan Tomkinson, who signed for The Robins on Friday, could feature.
Sam Sherring is likely to start at the heart of the Cheltenham defence, while Ben Stevenson, who made his debut last Saturday, will be involved.
Manager Comments:
Richard Dobson - “They will be a good test for us. We are going to have to find different ways to break them down. I expect them to run hard for him [Steve Cotterill]. They have a new manager and had a win last weekend, so it’s a different proposition to the one we would have probably had two weeks ago.”

Steve Cotterill - “We’ve worked again today [Thursday], and we will work again tomorrow [Friday]. We will travel down and then look forward to a game at Gillingham. They’ve had a good start to the season.”
Previous Meetings:
Gillingham lead the head-to-head with five wins to Cheltenham’s four. However, a draw has been the most common result between the two clubs, with 10 fixtures ending all square.
The last time Gillingham beat Cheltenham at the MEMS Priestfield Stadium came on the opening day of the 2011/12 season. The only goal of the game came after 26 minutes. Jack Payne saw his effort from 25 yards blocked, but Lewis Montrose reacted the quickest to latch onto the loose ball before drilling it into the bottom corner.
Gills were reduced to ten men with seven minutes remaining after Luke Rooney’s late lunge on Brian Smikle, but hung on for all three points.
