Gillingham v Harrogate Town
Sky Bet League Two
MEMS Priestfield Stadium
Saturday September 27, 2025
Kick-Off, 3pm
Team News:
Garath McCleary is back in contention, having served his two-match suspension. Seb Palmer-Houlden should be involved again, having made his debut off the bench against Newport County.
Armani Little and Nelson Khumbeni are hoping to be fit in time for Saturday’s fixture, but the game will come too soon for Euan Williams. Conor Masterson (calf) is unavailable.

Harrogate manager Simon Weaver said that competition for places is strong within the squad following their 2-0 win against Shrewsbury. Mason Bennett and Conor McAleny came off the bench during the win and will be pushing to break into the starting XI for the trip to the MEMS Priestfield Stadium.
Manager Comments:
Gareth Ainsworth : “They’ll come at us without a shadow of a doubt. They’ve got some good players. Stephen Duke-McKenna I had at QPR, he’s a good player that is finding some form. Bryn Morris I worked with before in the midfield. They have some really good players.”

Simon Weaver: “We want to make the travelling party proud and go into the lions’ den with our heads up. Gareth’s side set a club record last week, it’s a superb achievement for them, but we don’t want to just make the numbers up. We want to fight hard and come back on the coach in an even better mood.”
Previous Meetings:
Saturday will be the seventh meeting between the two Football Clubs. Harrogate leads the head-to-head with three victories to Gillingham’s one. The fixture has also seen two draws.
The only win for Gillingham against Saturday’s opponents came in September 2023. The only goal of the game came during stoppage time. Connor Mahoney’s corner pinballed around the penalty area before Tom Nichols got a shot away. His attempt was cleared off the line before it came to Shaun Williams, who prodded the ball into the back of the net from a couple of yards out.
