The club is delighted to announce the return of striker Tom Eaves on a one-year deal.
The 34-year-old arrives at MEMS Priestfield Stadium for a second spell having scored 40 goals in 97 appearances during his first stint between 2017 and 2019. He could make his second Gills debut when Newport visit ME7 this coming Saturday.
Eaves played for Northampton in League 1 last season, netting 10 times in 38 games having previously featured for Rotherham and Hull.
He arrived at Priestfield from Yeovil having started his career in the youth ranks at Crewe and Oldham respectively.
On rejoining the club, Tom said: "I am delighted to be back and I am so grateful for the opportunity to return to a club I have such admiration for.
"I honestly cannot wait to get going and see the fans at Priestfield. I am ready to go."
