Twydall Primary take the plaudits in HTSO Final
After a season of anticipation the winner of this season’s Half-time Shoot-out Competition was decided on Saturday when the Gills faced AFC Wimbledon inside a packed out MEMS Priestfield Stadium.
On a beautiful sunny afternoon the teams from Twydall Primary School and Brompton Westbrook Primary School walked on to the pitch to a capacity crowd with the chance of becoming this season’s Champions.
As they walked through the guard of honour nerves were high, both schools had already overcome three other teams to reach this point and as soon as they started their warm-ups the nerves disappeared and it was business as usual.
The final saw some dazzling strikes, quick reactions and passionate celebrations, but they could only be one winner and this season it was Twydall Primary School who edged out in front to secure the all important final victory.
As the crowd cheered, Gills Legend Andy Hessenthaler presented both schools with their trophies and medals.
