GILLS UNVEIL ON LOAN DEFENDER

25 November 2013

Gillingham FC have added a centre-half to their squad ahead of tomorrow night’s game with Stevenage

Gillingham take on Stevenage in Sky Bet League 1 at MEMS Priestfield Stadium on Tuesday night and Peter Taylor has increased his squad options with the loan signing of West Bromwich Albion defender Donervon Daniels.

The 20 year-old centre-half is a graduate of the Baggies own youth academy and enjoyed a successful loan spell with our League 1 rivals Tranmere Rovers last season, scoring once in 13 outings.

He has previously worked with Blues Boss Peter Taylor at the England Under-20's training camp prior to the 2013 FIFA U-21 World Cup in Turkey.

Donervon trained with his new team mates for the first time this morning and is eligible to make his Gills debut against Stevenage on Tuesday and has been allocated the squad number 28.

He joins the Gills on an emergency loan deal that will keep him at Priestfield up to and including the visit of Wolverhampton Wanderers on Friday 3 January 2014
