Young loan striker Jack Marriott has been recalled by Ipswich Town
Ipswich Town have recalled Jack Marriott from his youth loan at MEMS Priestfield Stadium.The 19 year-old made his Football League debut in the Gills televised Sky game against Brentford at Griffin Park last week, his only first team appearance in a month with the club.
Jack is now expected to return on loan to his former club Woking, where he scored nine goals in nine games earlier in the season.
Gills boss Peter Taylor explained the decision, saying, “The lad wants to play first team games and unfortunately I can’t guarantee him that. Jack is a good kid and we wish him all the best.”
