Gills boss nominated for December award after winning nine points from a possible 12
Justin Edinburgh has been nominated for the Sky Bet League One Manager of the Month for December.
Despite a 3-0 defeat to Burton the Gills boss was able to guide his team to three successive victories which saw them see out the 2015 calendar year in third place.
On December 19 Gillingham travelled to play-off chasing Millwall and, thanks to a brace from loanee Dominic Samuel, were able to secure a 3-0 win at the New Den.
Seven days later and the Gills were on the road again, this time at Swindon, where the visitors produced an excellent display to clinch a 3-1 victory with Bradley Dack, Jake Hessenthaler and Ryan Jackson on the score sheet.
Less than 48 hours later and over 7,000 fans were in attendance to see Gillingham beat Colchester 1-0 with Samuel on target again midway through the second half.
Edinburgh is one four managers dominated for the award with Sean O'Driscoll (Walsall), Nigel Adkins (Sheffield United) and Lee Johnson (Barnsley) also in the frame.
The winner will be announced on Friday January 8.
