The Gills will play against Patro Eisden and Ipswich Town at MEMS Priestfield Stadium in July.

Gillingham Football Club’s updated pre-season schedule has been confirmed.

Ady Pennock’s players will travel to Ireland (Sunday, June 25 to Friday, June 30) for a training camp, before returning to Kent for away friendlies against Faversham, Dartford, Dover and Chatham.

The MEMS Priestfield Stadium will then welcome the Championship’s Ipswich Town and Belgium side Patro Eisden, before the final friendlies away at Colchester United and Canvey Island at the end of July.


Faversham v Gillingham: Friday, July 7 (7.30pm kick-off)

Dartford v Gillingham: Tuesday, July 11 (7.30pm kick-off)

Dover v Gillingham: Saturday, July 15 (3pm kick-off)

Chatham v Gills XI: Tuesday, July 18 (7.30pm kick-off)

Gillingham v Ipswich Town: Saturday, July 22 (3pm kick-off)

Gillingham v Patro Eisden: Tuesday, July 25 (7.30pm kick-off)

Canvey Island v Gills XI: Saturday, July 29 (3pm kick-off)


The club were also scheduled to play Granada CF on Tuesday, July 25, however this fixture will not go ahead due to the Spanish side cancelling their tour of the UK.  The club will instead be hosting Patro Eisden at the MEMS Priestfield Stadium on that day. 

The Sky Bet League One season starts on the weekend of Saturday, August 5, with the fixtures for the 2017/18 campaign being released on Wednesday, June 21.
