Away tie for Gills in opening round.
Gillingham will play Crawley Town at The People's Pension Stadium in the first round of the 2021/22 Carabao Cup.
The draw was made earlier today on Sky Sports and it will see Steve Evans’ come up against his former club, side who finished 12th in Sky Bet League 2 last season.
Gills reached the third round of the competition in 2020/21, but were eliminated by Stoke City at the bet365 by a narrow 1-0 scoreline.
