The club's Head Coach previews the visit of Forest Green.

Gillingham boss Steven Clemence has heaped praise on new signing Remeao Hutton and his weapon of a right foot as the team prepares for this weekend's clash with Forest Green.

Three straight league victories have seen Gillingham maintain their upward trajectory towards the play-offs and the Gills Head Coach believes that his first signing at the club can only strengthen his team's chances this season.

"I am really pleased to have Remeao Hutton here at the football club," said Clemence, discussing the full-back. "He is someone who was flagged up to me quite a while ago. You can see the numbers he has produced over the last couple of years from a wide area. It's probably right up there in all the leagues in the country.

"He has got a number of assists, he gets balls into the box, he's athletic, he can go past people and he also wants to get better. He is the right type we want in the football club and the right personality and character. He will fit in nicely here.

"I have to say well done to the recruitment team and the owners for getting this one over the line because we did have some competition to sign him. We are delighted he chose us and we are looking forward to working with him.

"When I interviewed for the position here it was something I flagged up, 'are we getting enough balls in the box' and 'are the strikers getting enough service'.

"He will be available for Saturday as long as all the paperwork goes through with the league. He has trained with the team, so I have a decision to make."

Turning his attention to Saturday's fixture, Clemence wants nothing less than maximum points as the team continue their efforts to break into the seven.

"We have a difficult game, but we will be going for four on the spin," he said. "The boys will be prepared. If you perform well, then results will follow. Performance is key.

"The lads are in a confident mood and we are looking forward to the game. We will concentrate on ourselves and will be going out there to try and beat Forest Green Rovers."
