Gillingham will play Charlton Athletic in a pre-season friendly at MEMS Priestfield Stadium on Saturday July 18 (3pm).
This is the first home game that has been confirmed with matches at Dover and Ebbsfleet already pencilled in during pre-season. The first competitive fixture of the new campaign will be on Saturday August 8 in the Carabao Cup.
Fixture release is on Thursday June 25 at midday.
Charlton, under the management of Nathan Jones, finished 19th in the Championship last season with 53 points. Familiar faces in their team include Amari'i Bell who was once a Gills loanee from Birmingham, and Charlie Kelman who spent time on loan at Gills from QPR.
