Gareth Ainsworth has made his second summer addition with the capture of Zane Albarus from Brighton and Hove Albion on an initial two-year deal.
The 20-year-old central midfield player, who will join on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract at the Amex, has featured four times for Brighton's U21 side in the EFL Trophy over the last two seasons having initially joined the Seagulls from MK Dons as an U16.
He made his debut for the U21's in January 2024.
He follows James Brophy through the doors at MEMS Priestfield Stadium, with the former Leyton Orient man having also agreed a two-year deal at ME7 last week.
Zane, who makes his first move into the EFL, can play at right-back as well as in midfield.
On signing his contract, he said: "I am so excited to join and be on board for next season. This will be my first opportunity in a senior team and play EFL Football. I can't wait.
"I put 110% into everything I do. I am raring to go."
A full interview with the player will be available online shortly. His move is subject to EFL ratification. He officially becomes a Gillingham player on July 1.
