Gareth Ainsworth was left frustrated that another set piece proved the difference as Gills suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Chesterfield on Tuesday evening.
The Gills boss discussed his thoughts on the game and gave an explanation behind the changes he made to the starting XI for the fixture.
Thoughts on the game...
It is another set piece that we have conceded against a team that I believe will be in the play-offs. I think that they are one of the better teams in the league, I really do. I think that they are very good going forward.
It is frustrating because we limited their chances until we opened up and went for it at the end, and I am going with all sorts of forwards on the pitch, and they slid a couple in.
There was one moment where we let them in, and they get a leg up. You can't let that happen away from home at Chesterfield. They are a very good side. We are a little bit off, and we are still a little bit off from where I want to be.
I think that some of the balls and the passing was a bit astray, and we didn't find the man that we wanted to find. It was frustrating today.
I thought that they ground us down in that first-half, then in the second-half, we threw a lot at them, but sometimes the quality wasn't there at the end. We have got to be better than that.
The changes to the team for the game...
I changed up to a five at the back today because I thought that would limit the chances, and I think that it worked, but it also takes away a little bit of attacking prowess from us.
There were a couple of leg changes with [Sam] Vokes and [Garath] McCleary, the older crowd there. Travis [Akomeah] has come out, but he has been rested, and then Ethan Coleman as well, who has had some good games lately.
