The Gillingham Football Club Foundation is delighted to announce a partnership with Ashford United FC’s Post-16 Football Academy that kicks off in September 2025.
Ashford United FC has recently launched their new Post-16 education programme that will be based at the Green Box Stadium. The unique initiative offers students an unparalleled blend of high-level football training and a comprehensive full-time educational experience, and It’s specifically designed for individuals who possess a deep passion for football and are driven to achieve their academic aspirations.
The Gillingham FC Foundation will provide invaluable support to the programme, granting students access to a Professional Club environment crucial for their holistic personal development on and off the pitch. These unique opportunities will include:
Access to GFC staff offering insights into the range of diverse career pathways within the football industry
Engaging Q&A sessions with players and coaching staff
The special opportunity to play at MEMS Priestfield Stadium

Students signing up to the programme will benefit from nine hours of professional football coaching each week, coupled with your academic studies. Additionally, there will competitive matches every Wednesday afternoon, with students putting their skills to the test in real-game situations.
