The club is delighted to announce that Max Clark has signed a new one-year deal at MEMS Priestfield Stadium, keeping the defender at ME7 until the summer of 2026.

The 29-year-old, who joined the Gills in the summer of 2023 has, to date, played 71 times and scored four goals. He was named in the Sky Bet League 2 "Team of the Season" following the 2024-25 campaign.

The former Hull, Rochdale, Stevenage and Vitesse left-back becomes the fourth player to extend their contract in the last few weeks with Glenn Morris, Robbie McKenzie and Bradley Dack having also agreed new deals.

Clark netted three times in the club's final 11 fixtures last season, including a last minute equalizer away at Accrington.

On signing his deal, Max said: "I am really pleased to be staying at Gills. I have very much enjoyed my time here, the fans are absolutely brilliant and I want to be a part of what the club is building.

"I am looking forward to the season ahead."
