It has been confirmed that Gillingham will enter the 2026/27 U21 Premier League Cup.
Richard Dobson, the club's Technical Director, revealed the news at our Fan Forum event on Tuesday night.
Gills will be placed into a group of four and will play each side twice. The top two in the group will then advance to the knockout stages. The opposition teams will be confirmed in due course.
Speaking to the fans midweek, Richard said: "The players will develop as a group with us. Playing our way, training with us and training with our first-team which I think is vitally important.
"Pete Gill will become Head of Player Development. His job will be to give each player an individual development plan and he will take charge of those sides, alongside Scott Wagstaff."
