Max Clark's stunning strike against Bristol Rovers at the Memorial Stadium has been voted the Sky Bet League 2 "Goal of the Month" for November.
Clarky got on the end of a cross from Remeao Hutton and steadied himself before firing an effort across the goalkeeper and into the top corner.
It proved to be the match winner with Gills winning 1-0 on November 8. Highlights can be seen here.
Lead Sky Bet EFL Goal of the Month judge and Sky Sports Pundit Don Goodman said: “Max Clark’s strike against Bristol Rovers had everything.
“When the ball dropped to him on the half volley, he managed to generate power from a standing position and guide his volley into the top corner. Power, control, accuracy… brilliant goal!”
Clark added: "I am delighted to have won Goal of the Month for November.
"It is certainly up there among the best I have scored, and it was made nicer as it was right in front of our away fans and proved to be the match winner!"
Clark beat off competition from teammate Bradley Dack, Newport County’s Kai Whitmore and Colchester United’s Micah Mbick.
The winners of the Sky Bet EFL Goals of the Month were selected by a panel of experts and a public vote.
The panel comprises Sky Sports’ EFL experts Don Goodman and David Prutton.
