Gillingham v MK Dons
Sky Bet League Two
MEMS Priestfield Stadium
Tuesday March 10, 2026
Kick-Off, 7.45pm
Team News:
Omar Beckles, Armani Little, Garath McCleary and Bradley Dack are all doubts for Tuesday’s fixture, but will be assessed until the final moments. Cameron Antwi, Conor Masterson and Nelson Khumbeni will miss the game as they continue their recoveries from their respective injuries.
Josh Andrews will begin his two-game suspension, following his tenth booking of the season on Saturday. Jonny Williams, Aaron Rowe and Sam Vokes, who were substitutes against Fleetwood, will be pushing for starts.
Rushian Hepburn-Murphy was substituted at half-time during MK Dons’ win against Harrogate due to a quad problem and will be assessed ahead of Tuesday’s game. Liam Kelly could start for Paul Warne’s side after coming off the bench at the weekend, following his return from a knee injury.
Tuesday will likely come too soon for Nathaniel Mendez-Laing and Will Collar, as they continue their recoveries from injury. Curtis Nelson will miss the game due to a groin injury.
Manager Comments:
Gareth Ainsworth: “That is going to be a really tough game. They have spent a lot of money bringing in some top quality players who are well above this level. If we get something out of that game, then that will be a real positive as well. I am hoping that there are one or two back from the injury room, but we will see where we are, ready to go again.”
Paul Warne: “I do know that on their day, they can beat anyone, like anybody can in this league. I have had many run-ins with Gareth, coaching-wise; we have managed against each other quite a lot, so I know that it will be a difficult game.”
Previous Meetings:
Tuesday’s fixture will be the 24th game that the two teams have played against one another. Gillingham leads the head-to-head, with 11 wins to Milton Keynes’ nine. The fixture has also seen three draws.
We won our last meeting with MK Dons at the MEMS Priestfield Stadium in April 2025, thanks to Bradley Dack’s stoppage-time winner. The midfielder nearly scored earlier in the second-half when he met Max Clark’s free-kick into the penalty area. Dack flicked it goalward towards the far corner, but his looping header hit the top of the crossbar.
The defining moment came during the fifth minute of additional time. Clark curled a free-kick from the left side of the penalty area towards the back post. Conor Masterson met it unmarked, heading it back across the goal. It dropped perfectly to Dack, who was also unmarked, and he controlled the ball before cushioning a volley home from a couple of yards out.
The 1-0 win also proved to be memorable for academy graduate goalkeeper Taite Holtam, who kept a clean sheet on his professional debut.
