Gills to welcome Ipswich to Priestfield in pre-season fixture
Gillingham have confirmed their first pre-season fixture in build up to the 2014/15 league season.Ipswich Town will visit MEMS Priestfield Stadium on Saturday July 26, with a scheduled kick-off time of 3pm.
Mick McCarthy’s men visited Kent last year in a pre-season game, winning 2-1 on the day thanks to a late strike from David October - Cody McDonald had levelled things up seconds after the break following David McGoldrick’s opener.
The Championship side are sure to be a stern test for Peter Taylor’s squad, having finished in 9th position in the league standings – just four points shy of the play offs.
