The fixtures for the 2018/19 season have been released.
Gillingham will play Accrington Stanley at the Wham Stadium on the opening day of the 2018/19 Sky Bet League 1 season.
Fixtures were revealed at 9am on June 21 and the first game will see Steve Lovell’s side travel to the reigning League 2 champions on Saturday August 4 (3pm).
One of the most eagerly anticipated matches will be against recently relegated Sunderland. Gillingham travel to the Stadium of Light on Saturday January 26 and welcome the Black Cats to Priestfield on Tuesday August 21.
On Boxing Day Portsmouth visit the Medway Priestfield Stadium with Gills travelling to Roots Hall on New Year’s Day to take on Southend United.
The final game of the season will take place on Saturday May 4 against Blackpool at Bloomfield Road.
