The club is saddened to have learned of the passing of former goalkeeper, Derek Bellotti.
Derek played 43 times for the club in all competitions between 1966 and 1971, arriving from Bedford Town having spent time as an apprentice with Queens Park Rangers.
He moved to Charlton for a reported fee of £5,000 in 1971 before a more prolonged stint with Southend United.
He later featured for Swansea City before moving back to Kent to play for Maidstone. He spent much of his later career in the West County, featuring for both Torquay and Falmouth Town.
He went on to become the Managing Director of a print and design company.
He passed away at the age of 79.
