Gillingham assistant manager Richard Dobson says there will be no crazy changes in the absence of Gareth Ainsworth.
Dobson, who will take charge of the team while Gareth recovers from surgery, says that they will respect the process that has been put in place ahead of the trip to Milton Keynes.
Dobbo knows how dangerous MK Dons can be, and provided team news ahead of the fixture.
In Ainsworth's absence, Dobson has reiterated the importance of consistency in their approach, following a strong start to the season.
Preparation ahead of Saturday...
Gaz was here Tuesday, his last day with us, so we discussed team preparation with him. Obviously, we are hugely respectful of his role in all of this while he is away. The team is very much in his mould, and it is for us to carry that on.
There will be slight differences in terms of how we do things; that's just natural, but we have to respect the process that we brought in as a group. It's never about one person; it's about all of us. As I said to the boys, if somebody falls, the rest of us are here to pick him up. In this case, it happens to be Gaz.
Gaz has picked up many people over the years. It's our turn to pick him up and hold the fort until he returns.
On MK Dons...
Make no bones about it; this lot are a side that could well finish in the top three this season. They have had injury problems, and it has been tough for them at this stage of the season with so many players out. They've jiggled the side about and put square pegs in round holes, but they are good players. They have a lot of match winners in their side.
Team news...
We've got a couple of little niggles off the back of the weekend that we are monitoring. We will see how that pans out over the course of the next couple of days. It's nice because we have got Seb [Palmer-Houlden], Shad [Ogie] and Rowey [Aaron Rowe] all coming back into fitness and around the squad. It's a reason that we have a squad, we have a strong squad, and we believe in all of them. We're going to rotate along the way, and I trust each and every one of them.
Remaining consistent in the approach…
There will be no crazy changes. We’re not going to play five up front all of a sudden. It will be respectful of what we’ve done so far. What we’ve done so far has worked, clearly. We will do our due diligence on the opposition as we normally do. We will make our decisions from there.
