Gillingham will play Accrington Stanley at the Wham Stadium on the opening day of the 2025/26 Sky Bet League 2 season.

All fixtures for the new season were released at midday. They can be found here.

Gills have travelled to Accrington on the opening day before, that taking place in August 2018 when goals from Brandon Hanlan and Josh Parker secured a 2-0 win.

This year's fixture will take place on August 2, with a 3pm kick-off.

The club's first home league fixture will take place a week later, on August 9, when Walsall visit MEMS Priestfield Stadium. We welcome Cambridge United on Boxing Day, with a trip to Swindon Town following on New Year's Day.

On Good Friday we take on Walsall in the reverse fixture, with Accrington visiting on Easter Monday.

We visit Barnet for our final away fixture on April 25, with Shrewsbury making the journey to ME7 for our final home game on Saturday May 2.

In the Vertu Trophy, we are in Group G of the southern section with Wycombe and Colchester. An invited Premier League U21 side will be added on Thursday afternoon.

We will also find out our opponents in the opening round of the Carabao Cup on Thursday.
