The Football Club is delighted to announce that former England Captain, and Manager, Kevin Keegan, will be our next sportsman’s dinner guest on Thursday March 26, 2026 at MEMS Priestfield Stadium.
Keegan, now 74, who played for Newcastle, Liverpool and Hamburg during a glittering career, will join official sponsors (MEMS Power Generation), special guests and supporters for a fantastic evening of entertainment inside the Great Hall, with Adger Brown being our compere.
A three-course meal will be served, with a silent auction also taking place where attendees can win some very special memorabilia items.
Keegan, who started his career with Scunthorpe United, won the European Cup with Liverpool in 1977, following two UEFA Cup triumphs in 1973 and 1976. He won the Ballon d’Or twice (1978 and 1979) and also won an FA Cup winners’ medal in 1974. He won the First Division on three occasions and won the Bundesliga in 1979.

In management, he guided Newcastle to the first division title in 1993, and also won promotion to the first tier with Fulham in 1999. Three years later he won promotion to the Premier League with Manchester City.
After leaving City in 2005 he returned to St. James’ Park in 2008 as manager for a period of eight months.
He is widely regarded as one of the best English talents to grace the game.
