Armani Little acknowledged that things have to be so much better following Gillingham's defeat at Barnet on Saturday.
The Gills captain reiterated the need for the squad to look inward after another difficult afternoon that was far from good enough, and was again left lamenting the frailties of defending set pieces.
On the defeat...
It's a very tough day. It is nowhere near good enough. It is just the basics of football that we aren't getting right, which we haven't done so many times this season. The lads have to really take a long, hard look at themselves. It is not good enough when you come in numbers like they [the supporters] have today - they have packed out the away end, and we haven't given them anything.
It is difficult for them to even want to come and support us, so we have to be so much better.
The frailties from defending set plays...
We go through them every week before every game, and it is the same things that are happening. It has been happening for too long. It has been all season that we have not been good enough from set plays, not just today. It has become a habit of where we are not defending them nowhere near good enough.
