Robbie McKenzie says the team must continue to do the right things and is hopeful, as a result, that a string of positive results is around the corner.
The midfielder touched upon the Gills falling short when it comes to taking their opportunities, reiterating that the hard work will hopefully pay off.
McKenzie also discussed Omar Beckles and Ronan Hale, who made their first starts for the Football Club, and showed appreciation to the travelling support.
Needing to take chances…
It’s just getting over the line; that’s the most important thing. We just seem to be falling short at the minute but we are doing the right things, so hopefully that pays off.
The signings of Omar Beckles and Ronan Hale…
They have come and fit in straight away. It’s nice to see Omar at the back be a commanding leader. It’s always nice to have him behind you, knowing that he is talking and leading from the back.
Ronan has come on and is making chances. It is going to go in at some point.
He’s a bright spark. Sometimes, that’s all that you need in a team; one little moment, or something that he does, which is going to be positive.
Appreciation to the supporters…
We appreciate them travelling up on a Tuesday night, with it as cold as it is tonight and sitting there and watching us. We appreciate it, and hopefully, we can start putting in the performances and getting the results that they deserve.
