Bromley v Gillingham
Sky Bet League Two
Copperjax Community Stadium
Saturday September 6, 2025
Kick-Off, 5.30pm
Team News:
Carl Jenkinson is considered a doubt for the game so Omar Sowunmi could start on the right of a back three for Bromley.
Former Gills academy player Jude Arthurs is likely to start with Ben Thompson also in contention.
As for the Gills, Seb Palmer-Houlden could return from injury but his fitness will be assessed up until the last moment. Garath McCleary and Jonny Smith (pictured) are available to make their debuts.
Conor Masterson (calf) is definitely ruled out, as is Euan Williams (shoulder).
Manager Comments:
Andy Woodman - “We've got a big month coming up now.
"I think, at the end of this month, we'll know if we're really contenders [for promotion], and it's still very early."
Gareth Ainsworth - "It will be a big test, they are a very good side. They are solid. We'll be up for it and the standard of training has been good this week.
"Bromley are doing really well and they have respect from me and my players."

Previous Meetings:
This will be the fourth competitive meeting between the two teams. Bromley have won the two league fixtures, which came last season. Gills won the first ever meeting in the FA Cup in November 2006, running out 4-1 winners.
Mark Bentley opened the scoring on 31 minutes before adding to his and Gillingham’s tally just short of the hour. Nic McDonnell pulled a goal back for the visitors ten minutes later, setting up a nervy finish.
However, a late Guy N’dumbu-Nsungu brace put the tie to bed. His first goal came when the ball was rolled across the box towards him, and from the centre of the six-yard box, he smacked his shot into the back of the net. N’dumbu Nsungu’s second proved the pick of the goals when brilliant footwork allowed him to turn past a defender before curling a lofted shot into the far corner of the net, leaving a fully stretched Andy Walker with no chance.
