Striker Stan Sargent has signed his first professional contract at MEMS Priestfield Stadium.
The 18-year-old, currently a second-year apprentice, scored his first goal for the Gills first-team earlier in the season, finding the target in our 4-1 win over Fulham's U21s at ME7 in the Vertu Trophy.
He also found the net twice in the 4-2 win over Hertford in the opening round of the FA Youth Cup last month and also scored at home to Cambridge in an U17 PDL group stage fixture.
On signing his deal, Stan said: "I am buzzing to get it done. I cannot speak highly enough of the academy, it has been a really good journey from when I started aged 16.
"We have scored a lot of goals this season and we are through in the cups too which is a real positive."
