Gillingham have made their second signing on transfer deadline day with the capture of Zech Obiero from Leyton Orient on a season-long loan deal.
The 21-year-old Kenyan international joins Eli King through the doors at MEMS Priestfield Stadium, who signed from Cardiff earlier in the day.
Obiero, a central midfielder, could make his debut this Saturday in League 2 when Gills head to Rochdale.
Zech has already featured for Orient five times this season, having also played for Tranmere on loan in 2025/26, making 13 appearances and scoring twice.
He has also enjoyed spells with Cheshunt and Chelmsford earlier in his career.
