Robbie McKenzie knows that the squad will have to provide a positive response to their defeat last weekend as they make the long trip to Barrow this Saturday.
The 27-year-old is expecting a difficult game, with Barrow fighting to preserve their EFL status. However, McKenzie reiterated that they will be fully prepared as they look to turn their luck around.
He also touched upon the supporters, who have travelled fantastically well all season, and is keen to repay their faith with three points.
Responding from the defeat to Oldham Athletic...
We felt a disappointment after the game. We knew we weren't at our levels, and we let ourselves down a little bit in that term. We know that we have set our levels higher than what they were on Saturday, and Saturday wasn't good enough. We have to hold our hands up and have got to put it right this weekend.
You have to stick together, the full club. Everyone has got to be pulling in the right direction, and I feel that this week we have had good training sessions, and it has gone well. Hopefully, we can carry that into Saturday.
On Barrow...
It is going to be a tough game. They are at the bottom fighting for their lives, so we have got to expect everything, and we have to be prepared for that. We have got to go there and want to win more than they want to win, and hopefully, bring the three points back.
It is a long trip up there, so we are going to be prepared for that. We have got to go out on Saturday and give it everything, and turn our luck a little bit, and take chances, and be solid defensively. That is what we're going to look to try and do.
The supporters...
We understand their frustrations; we are frustrated ourselves in our performance. Obviously, they are frustrated as well. We feel that. We feel that we need to put it right, and we need to do something where we can repay that back to the fans with a good performance, and hopefully, pick up three points on Saturday.
