Seb | "It feels like two points lost"

SPH

Seb Palmer-Houlden described Saturday's draw as 'bittersweet' after his first goal at the MEMS Priestfield Stadium was cancelled out by Shaun Rooney's stoppage-time header.

The game ended 1-1 following the late goal, and the forward admitted he would much rather have the three points. However, he is pleased to be back among the goals and hopes to build on it.

It was a hard-fought game in ME7, with Palmer-Houlden and Ronan Hale pressing from the front throughout. With the quick turnaround to Tuesday's game against MK Dons, he knows they will need to recover correctly to go again.

On his goal...

I just hit it! It is as simple as that. I just wanted to get a shot off as quickly as possible, and fortunately, I found the corner.

For myself personally, it is really good to score. I haven't scored in ages, so it is nice to get that feeling back. I think that it is my first goal at Priestfield as well, so hopefully, there is more to come. It is bittersweet. Three points is what we mostly need and what we want. The goals will come, but I would rather get the three points and someone else scores in the win. It happens.

Shifting the focus to Tuesday night and preparing correctly...

I am quite a high-intensity player. I like to cause defenders nightmares when I press. Every player gave their all, but I am sure that with the right recovery, everyone is going to be up and ready for Tuesday.

Everyone is devastated. No one has gone in there happy, because it feels like two points completely lost. The boys will get back up for it on Monday, we will train and get ready for Tuesday and look forward.

Looking to the upcoming fixtures...

We have got three really tough games coming up. I think that minus Bromley, who are top, I think that it is the next three isn't it? We just have to focus on Tuesday and take every game as it comes. I am sure that the Gaffer will get us going properly, and get us in the right formation and set up well, then go from there.
